Problems that we work to solve

1. Plastic waste

Plastic from single use bottles is rarely recycled and is a stream that is responsible for thousands of tones of plastic waste per year. In Tanzania more than 75% of single-use bottles go unrecycled causing damage to the land and sea.

2. Affordability

In Tanzania clean water is expensive. Residents in Dar es Salaam will spend around 26x more per litre for clean water relative to earnings compared to a resident in the UK.

3. Access

Affordable clean water sources in Tanzania are uncommon. This forces people to rely on more expensive or unclean sources. As a result over 40% of Tanzanians rely on single-use bottled water.

4. Economic Growth

Tanzania is a low income country with a small manufacturing capability. An over reliance on foreign product and service import is limiting long-term economic growth. Almost 2/3 of Tanzanians live below the international poverty line.

Our solution contributes to 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals

Impact Machines

Our kiosks are impacting creating machines. They increase access to affordable clean water through a model that promotes sustainability and economic empowerment.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

Our kiosks deploy the latest in purification technologies with automated functionality to reduce the cost of water by over 50% for users.

We aim to save our users a total of $800,000 per year by 2026.

Our kiosks can be manufactured and managed locally, providing skilled labor opportunities in-country.

We aim to employ 50 skilled workers by 2026.

Our solution is 100% smaller than typical kiosks and requires zero mains power, this allows many kiosk to be installed in an area quickly, dramatically increasing accessibility of clean water.

We aim to dispense 4 million liters of clean water a year by 2026.

Our model promotes the use of reusable bottles to refill rather than drink and drop.

We aim to save over 1000 tones of plastic waste by 2026.
